trust it out
Recently at Life Church HH I had the opportunity to play the trust game with the kids at the Kids Church. This game requires the children trust a partner will catch them from behind when they fall. A game which is similar to what God regularly asks of us.
The book of Jeremiah- among other Bible books- assures us that God has plans for each of us. Good plans. Plans to bless and prosper us. However this requires we trust Him no matter what is happening at any given time in our life.
If you are considering a major life decision or change, the most vital action you can take is to ask God - who runs the entire cosmos- to lead you. As you do, He will give you wisdom and discernment to clarify the steps to take. If you trust Him, He will be beside you to guide you throughout your journey.
Jeremiah 29:11-13-"For I know plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart."
sunday funday
Speaking of Kids Church here at Life, it is known as Sunday Funday and it is for kids of primary school ages. The program provides provides opportunities to draw, paint, create, learn, and play. All this during the time the sermon is on. It is run by the fantastic creative leader Bianca. The program is held at the Sunroom Cafe, or our Activity Hall. Play takes place usually on our beautiful church grounds. Why not come with your kids and see for yourself how great a Sunday morning can be for them?
waters of life
Recently the church made the quick trip to Woolwich where we conducted our yearly water baptism event.
We were blessed to have five people baptised and make a public declaration of their faith in Christ as well as commitment to follow Him in earnest.
Ages ranged from 8 to 60. Those baptised included a couple from Germany who have been staying in Hunters Hill as well as a new convert to Christianity in her 20s.
The water was a perfect temperature and to add the icing on the cake the sun emerged from behind clouds as Pastor Alex and Myles stepped out onto the water to receive those being baptised. A wonderful experience!
