Alex & Julie Grancha
pastor and chaplain
Our ministry team is led by Pastor Alex Grancha. He entered service with Hunters Hill Congregational Church in 2018, following 25 years pastoral ministry at other churches. These include Christian Life Centre (1993-2002) where his duties included oversight of their international church planting program, and LIFE Church Bankstown (2002-2012), which he and his wife Julie planted on their own and grew to a healthy size. He currently also works as onsite counselor for various local councils and companies. In the past he has served as a chaplain at SUPANOVA Comic Con and Expo and Hurstville Boys High School.
Julie Grancha supports Alex in his ministry, and oversees prayer ministry and small groups. She is a scripture teacher at Hunters Hill Primary and is also chaplain to the Twilight Retirement Village and The Sunroom cafe.
David Watkins
elder
David has previously worked as an assistant pastor and lead worship at a church in Sydney’s northern beaches. He has been ministering in churches since the mid 1980s and brings solid biblical knowledge as well as pastoral experience to our congregation.
David and his wife Gloria are an integral part of the pastoral and care work of our church.
Myles Grancha
head deacon/secretary
As the youngest son of ministers Alex and Julie, Myles has been contributing to serving the church as well as local communities since the mid 2000s. He attended Bible College in 2017 and is versed in pioneering churches and youth ministry. As well as being elected Head Deacon and Church Secretary, he is also part of the worship team.
Myles has worked as a swimming teacher and in childcare and now is the sales manager at the Centre for Inclusive Design. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Macquarie University in 2022.
Brenda Grancha
deacon
Brenda has been managing church services since the year 2000. She has been involved in church planting and worked as a pastor’s PA for a number of years. She has ministered overseas and returned from a trip to Thailand to raise funds for an orphans home there. She is an evangelist with a heart for those who don’t know Christ.
Brenda has a Certificate in Pastoral Ministries and Leadership from Bible College. In 2018 she made Life Congregational Church her home and is part of the church’s Trust Board. She is self-employed and works in the aged care sector.
John K

With a childhood that spanned 3 continents, John became a Christian in the 80s and has served in the local church in worship teams, youth ministry and young adult ministry.
John is Conjoint Associate Professor with University of NSW, a senior medical specialist and clinical director in both public and private sectors.
Keresi Fonmoa
property manager
Keresi is originally from Fiji and migrated to Australia with his family when he was a child. His family was involved in a local church where he was part of a committee for five years to help bring their community together.
Keresi moved over to Life Congregational and became a member in 2022 alongside his wife Charmaine and daughter Le’Tia. He operates his own business as an insurance broker for general insurance dealing with the building industry and manages property sales.
